Though my parents met in Gahlen a long time ago, I was born and raised in Surik. My mother is a merchant; my father was nobility who is now a priest of Waylumi. Growing up, due to my parents' position, though garnered us much esteem. I was rather privileged and at times, very spoiled. Life was not difficult. I had a lot of family, my uncles and younger siblings so it was really a great and happy childhood backed with a stern work ethic that was instilled along with that privilege.
As I got older, I wanted to get out and explore the world. My parents understood that, having both scratched that wild itch before they had me. As such, one of my uncles who owns a fleet of ships hired me on. We always joked that my mum swore like a sailor and I inherited that trait so it seemed like a natural course to follow. I spent years at sea and really enjoyed the life but I knew it was not the one meant for me. I left with a wave to my uncle and well wishes when we landed at Lohtsurn.
In a very round about way, my story began in Gahlen. Landing at Lohtsurn Bay seemed right. The ground beneath felt right. Maybe this is where my story will come to fruition. Regardless, it is close to home and I like having the adventure at my fingertips but the comfort of family not too far away.
